Every industry has real-life superheroes who lead and exceed.
It’s no different for the online marketing industry. A growing number of marketing experts are paving the way. Lucky for us, they share. I have put together a list of my top ten.

Real heroes who can rescue you.
Each offers free marketing how-to training, strategy, industry updates, and advice in the form of articles, blogs, e-books, podcasts, email newsletters subscriptions, webinars, and videos. Expect all will be selling a product or service. However, you don’t always have to buy in order to get the information you need to grow your business.

Get to know these marketing superheroes.
It is a wise and no-cost way to acquire the skills you need to market your own business and grow your brand.

Learn from them.
Dig into their websites, register for email newsletters, listen to podcasts, attend webinars, like them on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, or request their blog feeds. And consider going to one of their conferences – where you can expect your superhero list to grow!

“Real-World Education for Modern Marketers” is their branding message – that says it all! You must become a member to access their vast library written by academics and professionals in the field of marketing, but signing up is free!

2) Brian Halligan, Hub Spot
One of the largest libraries about online marketing.  You can easily get all your knowledge about online business marketing here! They also host a yearly conference called “Inbound.”

3) Michael Stelzner, Social Media Examiner
The “go-to” for Social Media marketing questions.  A great place to network with other social media marketers. They also have a not to miss the Social Media Marketing World Conference every year.

4) Joe Pulizzi, Content Marketing Institute
Top-notch educational resource focusing on content.  Geared toward larger businesses, but if you want to become an expert in content creation, this is the site for you.

5) Forbes
It is the perfect place for beginners to search for quick business marketing questions. Always well-written and thoroughly researched articles.

6) Marketing Land
If you like to follow news and trends about online and social media marketing, then this is the site to bookmark.

7) Seth Godin
Seth Godin is an internet thought leader and former VP of direct marketing for Yahoo.  His blog posts are gold nuggets of marketing wisdom! Subscribe to his blog!

8) Rick Mulready
Rick speaks to small business owners. His website is filled with valuable social media marketing information just for small businesses. Check out his free podcasts; Inside Social Media.
